Mandated by proclamation 1263/2014, the Ministry of Peace is primarily responsible for ensuring and maintaining peace, preventing and managing conflict, strengthening federal and regional relations, and harnessing national unity through inclusive and positive strategies.
Peace begins with the individual, grows within families and communities, and shapes the nation. Guided by dialogue, consultation and mutual respect, and strengthened by digital innovation and partnership, together we are building resilient institutions, and a united, peaceful Ethiopia for present and future generations to come.
